Let me tell you about my client, Julie. 

Julie is a nuclear physicist who was moving up the corporate ladder in her career. 

She had two young children under the age of 5 and a husband who supported her career, but was experiencing his own stress and depression. They were disconnected.

Julie worked a lot of hours and had a 45-minute commute each way to work. Time outside of work was limited. 

She was stressed out and had lost her sense of self and identity after becoming a mom. 

She felt pressure to be perfect and battled self-doubt in her male-dominated workplace. She lacked confidence to navigate difficult conversations with colleagues, management, and her supervisees as she took on leadership roles. 

Julie had stopped doing anything to take care of herself and relied on alcohol each night to calm the anxiety and numb from the stressors of life.

She was holding on for dear life and was in survival mode.
